Lijiayan Reservoir Project belongs to National 172 Large Water Conservancy Projects and National 12 PPP Pilot Water Conservancy Projects. It is the first reservoir project for raw water strategies of Environment Group, and also is the second important water source guarantee project of Chengdu.
Lijiayan Reservoir is located at the stream segment of Wenjingjiang mountain area on the upstream of Western River, a first order affluent of the Minjiang River, in Qingfengling Community, Huaiyuan Town, Chongzhou City, Chengdu, Sichuan Province. The project is a large type-2 water conservancy project. The development task of the project is mainly based on urban and rural water supply, and supplies an emergency reserve water source for water supply of Chengdu, giving consideration to comprehensive utilization of irrigation, power generation, etc.
The project is mainly composed of a dam, flood discharge and energy dissipation facilities, an urban and rural water supply system, irrigation and ecological water diversion and power generation systems and other buildings. The dam belongs to a concrete face rockfill dam type. The reservoir has the normal water level of 763.00m, the total storage of 171.41 million m3 and the maximum height of 123.0m. The power station has the installed capacity of 12MW and the average annual energy output of 38.41 million KWH.
Lijiayan Reservoir Project has been listed into one of 20 newly started large-scale water conservancy projects of China in 2016.
